BLP Ultra™ Lifting Device Fabrication
Our BLP Solutions division features an experienced in-house engineering, design and fabrication team that utilizes CAD, 3D modeling, and FEA programs. We fabricate custom lifting device products such as our BLP Ultra™ line of drum lifters, forklift attachment, spreader bars, lifting beams, material baskets, padeyes, lifting lugs, bottle lifters, forklift/ crane adapters, tongs, hooks and other specialized rigging appliances including personnel lifters and personnel baskets. Other available lifting device products include jib cranes, material storage, pallet lifters and skip pans. All our lifting device products are 100% inspected and tested, with all related test and compliance certs available via our BLP QuickTrack™ online cert system.

Qualifications and Standards
BLP is a State of Texas registered engineering company. Our staff of engineers and designers approaches fifty years combined experience. Our welders and fitters utilize the AWS D1.1 and AWS 14.1 standards for welding and fabrication. Welders retain multiple certifications on many type of welding from MIG, TIG, and Arc welding. Our weld inspectors are ASNT Level II and III certified. We also issue periodic in-house weld tests to monitor continuous improvement, and keep records on file for goal tracking purposes.
Quality & Improvement
BLP’s four cornerstones to success are a vigorous Quality system; an ingrained safety & health consciousness; an active environmental plan; and a structured training program. Each of these plays an important role in the decision making processes of BLP and incorporates employee participation at all levels. In 1999 we achieved our ISO 9002:1994 Quality certification from Det Norske Veritas (DNV), which was upgraded to the ISO 9001:2000 certification in 2003. Today, we are developing an ISO 14000 compatible Environmental system and an OHSAS 18000 Health and Safety system..
