Hilman Traksporter

Hilman TRAKSPORTER is a self propelled crawler system designed to move heavyweights safely, easily and efficiently while not damaging the floor surface.

TRAKSPORTER is comprised of a power unit that contains a 23hp propane gas engine. The engine powers a series of hydraulic pumps which in turn drive two track pads, on the Crawler, that contact the floor. Each tracks pad is controlled by a bidirectional joystick on the remote. The contact pad on the crawler where the load makes contact is a swivel plate that allows the Crawler to make turns. The TRAKSPORTER is intended to be operated on level floors, preferably concrete. The smooth steel pads are made in such a way that they will not damage most concrete floors; painted or otherwise sealed.

How the TRAKSPORTER Works

A turntable with aggressive anti-slip pattern on top and bearings underneath allow the crawler to rotate under the machine being moved. Two steel tracks (compare to a dozer) allow the crawler to push, pull and turn 360 degrees. The track pads are smooth enough and the edges are rounded so the floors do not get marked or scratched. Four sets of tandem roller carriages (two per track) allow the tracks to follow the contour of the concrete and help distribute the weight of the load evenly.
