There are 24 different hydraulic cable cutter products made by Huskie, and each of these pieces of equipment is briefly described below. The difference in each cable cutter is output tonnage:

DA-12: The DA-12 is a handheld cable cutter that can be operated from the utility line truck. It has 2.500 psi pressure, which makes it able to cut four inch lead sheath cables and 4200 pair communications cables. The DA-12 is portable and features a positive open and close position with a built-in safety trigger.

S-240CC: Specially engineered to cut through the toughest EHS guy wire, ground or anchor rods, the S-240CC has an anvil style with center cut blades. It is constructed of high-grade steel and includes rubber grips on the handle. The black zinc oxide coating reduces corrosion. Users can rotate the cutter 180 degrees for operator leverage.

S-55: To cut anything from guy wire, to anchor rod, to overhead and underground cables, choose the S-55 manual hydraulic cutter. It is portable, lightweight and is durable enough to last for years, even under the harshest field conditions.

SP-24: For a remote cutting head that is hinged for easy bar or cable insertion, choose this SP-24. The blade advances in a movable shear fashion, cutting the material cleanly. The ram spring retracts the blade when the cutting pressure is relieved; the guillotine cutting style has a larger output force than the scissor types and has larger cable capacities and more reliability. A 3/8" screw-type male coupler is included; this head is one of the Huskie hydraulic tools that can be used underwater.

SP-55: This remote cutting head has the same construction and specifications as the SP-24. It also includes a 3/8 screw-type male coupler.

YS-60: The YS-60 is a manual, or handheld, cutter that is used for larger URD cables that require a smooth cut prior to sleeving. The hydraulic cable cutter is designed to cut aluminum and copper or lead sheathed cables only. The scissor-type head makes operation in close quarters convenient.

S-16: When you need to cut anything from guy wire to anchor rod, the S-16 manual hydraulic cutter is a good choice. It is also ideal for most overhead and underground cables due to its portable, lightweight construction. Like all Huskie hydraulic cutting tools, the S-16 is built to last for years, even under the toughest field conditions. Features a two-stage pumping piston for fast advance.

S-32: Like the S-16, the S-32 cable cutter cuts a variety of materials, including guy wire and cables. It is also as portable and easy to manage as the S-16.

S-85: The S-85 is the only piece of equipment in Huskie"s S-series cutters that is designed to cut telephone and lead sheathed cable. Designed specifically for copper and aluminum wire, these tools feature a two-stage pumping piston. Portable and lightweight..

S-24CC: For a hydraulic-powered, remote EHS guy wire cutter that offers maximum efficiency, look no further than the S-24CC. It features anvil-style, center cut blades that eliminate jamming problems that are common in shear style cutters; plus the blades are easily replaced directly in the field. Constructed of high grade steel and black zine coxide coating, the materials used resist corrosion. The cutter requires an external 10,000 psi pump for operation.

SP-85: With a hinged head, the SP-85 is easily opened for cable or bar insertion. The movable blade moves in a shear fashion, which results in a clean material cut. The internal ram spring retracts the blade once the user relieves the cutting pressure; and the design of this remote cutting head results in powerful output force, large cable capacities and reliability. This compact equipment can be used underwater.

YSP-30: The YSP-30 remote cutting head is designed to cut ACSR up to 477, and can also handle copper and aluminum cables up to 1.18 outside diameter. It is an ideal tool for close quarter work and for bucket and truck applications where the open jaw cutter easily grabs and cuts the cables. The internal parts are interchangeable with other Huskie products, including the model S-20, making repairs easy.

S-20: Like other Huskie products in the S series, the S-20 manual hydraulic cable cutter cuts guy wires, anchor rods and overhead and underground cables. Features the same durable construction of the rest of the Huskie line.

S-32CC: The S-32CC is specially engineered to cut through the toughest EHS guy wire, ground or anchor rods. The cutter is made of high-grade steel and includes rubber handle grips. Black zinc oxide coating helps reduce corrosion and the flip-top latch opens the tool jaw to easily accept cables and wires. The head rotates 280 degrees.

SP-100: This is another remote cutter head that is designed or underwater use. It has a hinged head for easy cable or bar insertion and also includes a shear-style moveable blade. The design of the SP-100 is compact, with a powerful output force and larger cable capacities.

SP-32: The design of this remote cutter head is similar to the SP-100 and other Huskie hydraulic cutting tools in the S series. Like other S series heads, it features an internal ram spring that retracts the blade when cutting pressure is relieved. Engineered in a guillotine cutting style rather than the scissor type.

YS-30: For users who need to cut ACSR up to 477 and copper and aluminum cables up to 1.18outside diameter, the YS-30 works extremely well. It is an ideal manual hydraulic cutter for close quarter work and bucket truck applications, because the open jaw cutter can easily grab and cut the intended cables. The rubber-covered handles are rated 20KV and provide a sure grip. Repairs parts are readily available, since most internal parts are interchangeable with the Huskie S-20 model.<

YSP-34: The YSP-34 is intended to cut 800 MCM hard-drawn copper cable. This remote cutter head requires an external 10,000 psi pumping source; and the scissor-type head makes close quarters use convenient.

YS-240: The S Series of Huskie tools includes some of the toughest, longest-lasting cutting tools on the market; and the S-240 is no exception. It cuts many different types of materials and is lightweight enough for easy portability. Features a two-stage pump body for rapid advance.

S-40B: No matter what you need to cut, the S-40B does the job. The manual hydraulic cable cutter works in the harshest field conditions and is designed for rapid advance.

SP-20: For customers who perform underwater applications, the SP-20 is the ideal tool. Like others in the S Series, a 3/8 screw-type male coupler is included with the remote cutting head and it features a hinged head for efficient use.

SP-40: Identical to the SP-20, except for additional output tonnage. The SP-40 is built with the durability and corrosion resistance customers expect from Huskie hydraulic cutting tools.

YS-34: Huskie customers who perform their cutting applications in close quarters will appreciate the design of this manual hydraulic cutter. It is portable and handheld, with a scissor-type cutter head. The YS-34 is designed to cut 800 MCM hard drawn copper cable.

YSP-60: This remote cutting head is ideal for aluminum cables that are up to 2 1/2 outside diameter and 500 MCM bare copper. The YSP-60 is used on the larger URD cables that must have a smooth cut before sleeving. This cutter is meant to cut only copper, aluminum, or lead sheath cables and has a 2 1/2 cable capacity.
