BLP Slings
Because the lifting industry has so many different types of rigging applications, Bishop Lifting Products offers the following line of versatile slings:
Alloy Chain Slings: These lifting slings are made from analysis alloy steel and are fabricated for superior strength and reliability. Alloy chain slings are ideal for harsh environments; for overhead lifting a grade of 80 or 100 is recommended. Customers choose from single, single chocker, double, triple or quadruple branch.
Braided Slings: Braided slings are lightweight and flexible, which makes them easy to transport and hitch. They are manufactured from synthetic or metal and are easily repaired by replacing any damaged components. If the sling is too damaged, it can also be dissembled, creating a component sling ideal for improvisation and secondary purposes.
Metal Mesh Slings: Used often in metalworking or in other applications that include abrasive, hot or cutting loads, metal mesh slings are crafted from carbon, allow or stainless steel. These metal slings cannot be cut, as web slings may, and they are also resistant to abrasion; further, their uncoated surface can withstand temperatures of up to 550 degrees Fahrenheit. The firm grip and lack of stretching of the sling means that the loads will remain balanced.
Roundslings: Roundslings are synthetic and lightweight, and their flexibility allows them to conform to the unique shape of every load. Commonly, they are manufactured from nylon or polyester yards that are seamless and tubular in design, limiting snags or ruptures along their edges. Houston companies rely on a lift sling for fragile or odd-shaped loads.
Single and Multiple Leg Slings: Adjustable lifting products such as these are used by Houston rigging companies during uneven or awkward lifts, including baskets and open containers. Users have better control and of their loads and better protection between pick-up points and crane hook when the use these lifting slings.
Web Slings: These slings are crafted from either nylon or polyester flat webbing, and they are best used for highly-polished, delicate loads that need damage protection. Web slings are soft, and therefore will not mar or deface the loads; and their flexibility maintains a firm grip around the load. There are six configurations available: triangle and triangle, triangle and choker, flat eye and eye, endless, twisted eye and eye and reverse eye.
Twin-Path® Slings: Twin-Path™ slings are made of low-eight nylon or polyester fibers. They are high strength and easy to rig and store. The synthetic fibers resist abrasion, yet are less expensive and safer than other types of lifting slings. Users who need protection from fire, sparks, heat and pyrotechnics can choose Sparkeater®, which can lift hot metal up to 300 degrees Fahrenheit without the damage of wire ropes or chain slings.
Tri-Flex® Slings: A lift slings allow Houston companies to combine remarkable strength with even more flexibility. Tri-Flex® slings are created from three parts of wire rope, replacing larger diameter, single-part wire rope slings that were somewhat awkward and stiff.
