Spreader Bars & Lifting Devices for the Modern Lifting Products Industry

Bishop Lifting features three separate divisions that serve our clients around the world: BLP Products, BLP Services and BLP Solutions. The BLP Solutions division crafts the trusted BLP Ultra™ line of lifting products, including spreader bars, lifting beams, forklift and crane attachments, padeyes and other lifting devices. Engineers and welders use CAD, 3D modeling and FEA technology to fabricate products that are 100% inspected and tested and feature an enhanced tagging system. Our customers appreciate that every BLP Ultra™ product comes with the BLP QuickTrack™ online certification system, related test and compliance certifications.

The engineers and designers in BLP Solutions have over 50 years of combined experience, and our welders and fitters use the WS D1.1 and AWS 14.1 standards when fabricating the BLP Ultra™ line. Bishop Lifting Products values quality and value above all else, which is why we require our welders to hold multiple certifications in MIG, TIG and Arc welding techniques. Further, our weld inspectors are ASNT Level II and III certified; and BLP issues periodic weld tests that monitor improvement for our records and goal tracking purposes.

Since 1984, BLP has been a leading distributor and manufacturer of lifting devices and industry solutions for rigging applications. Our staff includes more than 100 lifting industry professionals throughout Texas, Louisiana and Wyoming, all of whom are committed to a vigorous Quality System. Currently, Bishop Lifting is developing an ISO compatible Environmental System and an OHSAS 18000 Health and Safety System, following in our tradition of continuous improvement.

Custom Lifting Device Fabrication
Our engineering expertise also allows us to create custom spreader bars and other lifting devices fabrication for our clients on a project-by-project basis. We use Sold Edge 3D modeling and CAD 2000, and FEA is provided by Nastran 4D desktop solver, so every product goes through rigorous design checks and verification. Customers can stay on top of the progress of their designs via reports, drawings and renderings transmitted electronically, by disk or by paper.
