Our BLP Solutions division features an in-house mechanical engineering team with years of industry experience, the latest design technologies and highest quality custom fabrication techniques ready to design your personnel lifting and custom designed lifting devices. This team also produces our line of BLP Ultra™ Lifting Devices, as well as the BLP UltraRider™ and BLP MaxiRider™ personnel lifters. Plus, all our lifting devices are 100% inspected and tested, with certs available via our BLP QuickTrack™ online cert system.
Mechanical Engineering & Design
BLP Solutions features an experienced in-house engineering and design that utilizes CAD, 3D modeling, and FEA programs. We are lifting equipment design specialists geared specifically for custom lifting devices including spreader bars, lifting beams, material baskets, personnel platforms, drum and bottle lifters, pallet lifters, forklift adapters, jib cranes, lifting lugs, material handling equipment, and rigging appliances. We’ll create your custom lifting devices to ASME BTH-1 design standards, utilizing our years of field-validated industry experience, modern electronic design and analysis tools.
Lifting Devices
We’ve fabricated lifting devices for over a decade and were the first company in Texas dedicated to building lifting devices for heavy industry. This has allowed our BLP Solutions division to produce the new line of BLP Ultra™ Lifting Devices for both custom and standard applications. Our fabrication areas of expertise include spreader bars, lifting beams, material baskets, personnel platforms, drum and bottle lifters, pallet lifters, forklift adapters, jib cranes, lifting lugs, material handling equipment, and rigging appliances. BLP Ultra™ Lifting Devices are built to all applicable ASMEB30 industry standards, an ISO 9001:2000 quality process and include 100% inspection and testing.
Personnel Lifting
In 1998, the industry’s need for improved personnel lifting on drilling rigs was answered with the electric-powered BLP MaxiRider™. Today, it"s joined by the next generation and air-powered BLP UltraRider™ for offshore personnel lifting. Their numerous safety features, ease of operation improvements and total wireless rider control makes these and our other personnel baskets the most demanded and trusted personnel lifting systems in the oilfield.

BLP’s four cornerstones to success are a vigorous Quality system; an ingrained safety & health consciousness; an active environmental plan; and a structured training program. Each of these plays an important role in the decision making processes of BLP and incorporates employee participation at all levels. In 1999 we achieved our ISO 9002:1994 Quality certification from Det Norske Veritas (DNV), which was upgraded to the ISO 9001:2000 certification in 2003. Today, we are developing an ISO 14000 compatible Environmental system and an OHSAS 18000 Health and Safety system.
